Accessibility at the Benjamin Harrison Presidential Site
We strive to make the Benjamin Harrison Presidential Site welcoming and accessible to all visitors.
Mobility Accessibility:
Our museum is fully wheelchair accessible, with ramps at entrances and an elevator providing access to all four levels of the home.
Doorways and hallways accommodate mobility aids, and no areas open to the public present accessibility challenges.
A wheelchair is available for visitor use upon request.
Visually Impaired Accommodations:
Since all visits are guided tours, our team can provide verbal descriptions and assistance for guests with visual impairments.
We offer interactive experiences, including 3D-printed objects and “touch baskets” in each room with fabrics, replica artifacts, and other tangible items for exploration.
Sensory Accommodations:
The museum is typically a quiet environment. However, accommodations—such as moving to a different room or private tour times—can be made for guests with sensory sensitivities.
Parking & Entrance:
Accessible parking is available in our lot at the northwest corner of our grounds and along N. Delaware St. in front of the museum.
The closest accessible drop-off point is approximately 50 feet from the entrance.
Restrooms & Seating:
Accessible restrooms are available on-site.
Seating is available throughout the museum upon request.
Additional Assistance:
