An inaugural gift from Texas rancher D.M. O'Conner, one of the 3 plaques read: Thermophyae Had Her Messenger Of Defeat But The Alamo And Refugio Had None.

The chair seat is upholstered in original leopard hide.

Charles Puppe crafted the chair in 1889. It has 12 matching Texas longhorns and nickel-plated glass ball casters.
