The Benjamin Harrison Presidential Site offers a variety of indoor and outdoor rental spaces for meetings, celebrations, weddings, and special events. From historic gardens and open lawns to flexible classroom and reception spaces, the Presidential Site provides a unique setting in the heart of Indianapolis.

Our staff works with you to ensure that events run smoothly while preserving the historic legacy of the property. Rental options include lawn rentals, room rentals, and full-grounds access, with additional services available to customize your event.

Photography

Looking for the perfect outdoor backdrop for photos for your special day? The Benjamin Harrison Presidential Site is the perfect choice for any occasion. Rich in history and beauty, your pictures are sure to intrigue.

Take photos on our stunning porch where President Benjamin Harrison gave over 80 speeches to 300,000+ people during his 1888 “Front Porch” campaign while running for President.

The Rose Garden features beautiful benches and brick pathways as you walk through the period rose collection.

Free street parking is available in the surrounding Old Northside Neighborhood.

After arrival at the Benjamin Harrison Presidential Site, those with a photo pass must check in at the visitor’s center with their whole party.

The Benjamin Harrison Presidential Site welcome engagement photos, bridal photos, graduation photos, senior portraits, prom photos, portrait photography, family photos and more! Please review this page for more information about our photography policies.

All decorations brought onto the grounds must be removed at the conclusion of the shoot. No confetti, artificial flower petals, rice, or glitter machines allowed during shoots. No decorations may be placed on the house, on the porch, or in the trees.

Drones are not allowed on the Benjamin Harrison Presidential Site.

Payment of the photo pass is required upon pass approval.

Those involved in photography shoots are not allowed to walk in plant beds, block pathways/entrances, or move items on the Presidential Site.

Shoots involving nudity are not allowed on the Presidential Site.

All clothing worn during photography shoots must be appropriate.

All passes are valid during inclement weather, following local travel and weather alerts. If rescheduling is needed, reach out to events@bhpsute.org. Rescheduling due to weather is permitted; however, a $5 administrative fee applies to all date changes.

Press Photography Passes

Reporters and members of the press are allowed to photograph and film for events for the purpose of news coverage. Please contact our our media representative, Angela Tuell, to schedule.
