The Benjamin Harrison Presidential Site invites you to join us virtually for a Veterans Day Salute to all American Veterans past and present on Friday, November 11, 2022 at 9:00 pm.
The Presidential Site is organizing a live virtual event, to be broadcast from the porch of the 23rd President, Benjamin Harrison. At 9:00 PM, a lone bugler from the Indiana National Guard will sound Taps to honor all veterans who have passed.
We will broadcast the event from the Benjamin Harrison Presidential Site on Facebook Live, but are asking music students and musically-inclined citizens across the State of Indiana to pick up their own instrument of choice and participate by playing Taps at exactly 9:00 pm from their own front porches. This will help make sure that our veterans in every corner of the state hear these notes of appreciation.
We hope the bugle call inspires everyone who hears it to pause and reflect on the dedication and important service of our veterans, and how their efforts have helped preserve the American system of self-government we enjoy today. Please join us in this honoring of veterans past and present—and if you are a veteran, please know how grateful we are for your service!
