Konye Ori, director of the Women’s Health Service Line with IU Health, discusses his experience with the Presidential Site in this brief interview.
Q: Please introduce yourself and give us a short bio.
A: My name is Konye Ori. I am the director / service line administrator of women’s health at Indiana University Health Physicians at IU Health. I am resident in Carmel, Indiana, and I am married with four children. I play soccer on weeknights and coach pre-K soccer on weekends. I enjoy cooking as well as singing!
Q: Tell us about how you got connected with the Benjamin Harrison Presidential Site.
A: My first interaction with the Benjamin Harrison Presidential Site happened in 2017 when I received an invitation to speak at a Future Presidents of America (FPA) session. Since then, I have had opportunities to speak to students and engage with these young leaders at more FPA sessions.
Q: What has been your most significant experience at or with the Benjamin Harrison Presidential Site?
A: Speaking to the students and engaging with them has been my greatest experience. The FPA leadership program prepares young people for civics and leadership, and I enjoy being a part of the journey
Q: What future experiences do you look forward to at the Presidential Site?
A: I am looking forward to further conversation about the Project POTUS, and the opportunities for creativity and education it provides for young children. In addition, I am excited about the ongoing expansion project at the Presidential Site and how it translates to new ideas and programs.
Q: What do you think about #GiveTheExperience 2021?
