Plate & Palette

Saturday, March 29, 2025 2:00 - 4:00 pm EST

Step into the vibrant world of Caroline Scott Harrison, First Lady and accomplished china painter, at the Benjamin Harrison Presidential Site. On March 29, from 2:00-4:00 PM, enjoy a unique opportunity to explore history and creativity in one unforgettable afternoon.

Begin with an engaging talk by museum curator Jennifer Capps, who will showcase rarely-seen pieces from our collection and share insights into Caroline’s artistic passion. Then, unleash your creativity as an instructor from uPaint Pottery Studio guides you in decorating your own 10 inch dinner plate. After firing, plates will be available for pick-up at the site.

With only 30 spots available, don’t miss this chance to combine art, history, and hands-on fun. Wine, charcuterie, and non-alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase to enhance your experience.

Secure your spot now and be part of this inspiring celebration of artistry and history!
