The Summer Civic Series brings together the Benjamin Harrison Presidential Site’s signature summer programs under a shared purpose: exploring how civic life is built – not only through laws and elections, but through community, culture, conversation, and care for one another.
Throughout the summer, the Presidential Site becomes a place to gather, connect, and celebrate. Guests are invited to come together around history, food, travel, traditions, and shared experiences that spark curiosity and conversation. Whether you’re attending a festival, a talk, or a celebration, each event in the series offers a chance to reflect on our place in the civic fabric of the nation.
At its heart, the Summer Civic Series is about connection: to history, to place, and to one another. By creating opportunities to gather, learn, and celebrate together, these programs highlight the many ways everyday actions help shape a stronger, more engaged, and more connected community.
